Oklahoma has the most restrictive ballot access laws in the United States. Every four years Oklahoman’s are given only two options on their ballot for President. Compare this with the super-majority of states which typically have more than four candidates on their ballot. The two largest third parties in the United States, the Green Party and the Libertarian Party, both have been denied ballot access in Oklahoma. However, both parties are running candidates which are on enough state ballots to, hypothetically, win the election. Why are Oklahoman’s being deprived of the democratic process?

In an age where socialism and cheap fiat money rose to dominance at the expense of freedom and prosperity, Ron Paul answered the call of the Spirit of the Founders and became the Paul Revere of this age awakening everyone to the looming danger of tyranny and economic collapse hot on our heals. But as he approaches 80 even the venerable Dr. Paul cannot go on forever and he told me as much on the phone in 2010 just after my first Congressional race. He said that one of the reasons he was so proud of my campaign, and others like it, was that it showed that a new generation of Americans were heeding his call to Wake up and fight for Liberty.

So my friends I submit to you that now is not the time to become despondent over what we have lost, but to be encouraged by what we have gained which is nothing short of a new generation spanning awareness of the enemies arrayed against our freedom and an entire army of Liberty Candidates answering the call to DEFEAT THEM! With under two months to go to the general election, you will see that there are a very few Liberty Candidates left to support this year and THEY NEED YOUR HELP NOW! They need you blogging, networking and donating just like you did for Dr. Paul and with that effort here at the 11th hour we could certainly elect both Gary Johnson as President and RJ Harris to the US Congress to name just two.

But that cannot happen if we remain knocked back. We MUST rise up and press forwards even harder into the breach created by General Paul’s efforts so that our long fight by his side and the millennia spanning march of Liberty which has brought all of us to this moment of Truth will not have been in vain. As one of the final remaining Liberty Candidates of 2012 then I must now call you out once more and ask of you to redouble your efforts in these last weeks to share the message of freedom and the candidacy of Johnson and Harris with everyone and anyone who will listen. RJ Harris’ has served in both Afghanistan and Iraq

Since it is most likely that we are aiding the Free Army in Syria against the Assad Regime, one has to wonder how much of our aid is going to the very forces which fought and killed our soldiers in Iraq and who are STILL fighting and killing our soldiers in Afghanistan. The Al-Qaeda fighters in this article must get a certain joy from obtaining US aid which is not supposed to, but which most probably does, end up in their hands. When are we going to learn that interventionism makes us weaker and not stronger? When are we going to learn that interventionism empowers our enemies in the long run even if it degrades them in the short run? But I guess we should just keep listening to the Chicken-hawks like Obama and Romney neither of whom have served a day in the military. As Congressman, I will vote against interventionism, which creates tomorrow’s enemies, and I will vote for strengthening the defenses of THIS NATION at home and in international waters just as was advocated for by our Founding Presidents.

This is the reason we are commanded to “judge not lest we be judged.” For how will Christians, famous now for attacking the Gay community, ever be able to share the Gospel with them? What has happened to the vast witness of Christianity, commanded in the Great Commission, when the ENTIRE religion now has stood up to be counted as bigoted and hateful towards a community within our midst? Are Gay lost souls not worth the same in Heaven as Strait lost souls!? Is the best way to witness to them to attack them and their way of life…or wouldn’t it be best to show them love, kindness, compassion and charity in the EXACT same way as did the Christ? Mr. Cathy, my advice to you is to go back to what you are good at–making chicken–and stop trying to see past the log in your own eye to remove the speck from your brother’s.

Meanwhile, the Federal Reserve is still devaluing our currency which continues to impoverish a nation, the Congress is still spending our grandchildren into debtors slavery and lining their own pockets with both hands, the President is still fighting wars in which he was not authorized to engage, the Supreme Court goes on allowing the wholesale destruction of our Bill of Rights while we get all up in arms over the codgerly comments of an aging bigot who has grown past the stage of caring who is hurt by his words. This despite the God he claims to serve admonishing us to take care of the things we say lest our mouths spread evil and hate even inadvertently. But I digress. The point is if it is true that this nation is going to Hell in a hand basket, as is often claimed by many Christians, it is not because of the Gay community or even the nation not being right with God. No, we stand upon the abyss of Empire and Tyranny ascendant because WE THE PEOPLE WON’T KEEP OUR EYE ON THE ISSUES THAT MATTER OR OUR STEEL UPON THE THROAT OF THE GOVERNMENT WHICH HAS USURPED OUR AUTHORITY UNCHECKED.

Please wake up before it’s to late to fight for Liberty and our Children grow up slaves in the land once founded on Freedom.

Then there are those going on about “greenhouse” gases. Well have you ever been inside a greenhouse? It is humid like you wouldn’t believe. So one would think that if there was some kind of greenhouse effect actually going on, and not the sun just heating up in its normal pattern of doing so for the last billion years before it cools down again in a decade or so, then one would expect the weather to be much more tropical as the equator increases in size rather than simply having temperatures rising with a lack a moisture.

Meanwhile what gets lost in all this constant shame and blame for humanity is the very real issue of pollution. No one should be allowed to poison the air, the ground or the water and I can’t think of any legitimate political philosophy which would disagree. Let the polluters out there be sued. Open up the courts and make only the guilty pay. Don’t bring down more legislation on the rest of us that never pollute. Let even the government sue polluters when no one else can and use the recoveries to pay for the clean up and restoration. But I am totally against more legislation which does nothing but restrict honest law abiding property owners while the law breaking polluters go on polluting anyway.

I refuse to apologize for enjoying my car, or heating/cooling my home, or mowing my lawn or drinking water from a plastic bottle or being HUMAN. No matter how much ground I give there will always be another eco-purist pushing me farther until my family and I are living in a cave somewhere and I am sick of it. I want more efficient energy for the cost savings and I want it domestically produced so that we are no longer held hostage to middle eastern energy. And I want that energy to be as clean as possible because I don’t want to pollute either. But darn-it all I am NOT moving to a cave or a tree and I will certainly be damned if I allow others to use the force of government to make me.

So as Congressman, and considering that natural gas is cleaner, domestically produced and costs half as much as petroleum, I will introduce legislation to replace half the the Federal Government’s ground vehicle fleet by 2020 through normal attrition cycles with natural gas powered vehicles. Further, I will fight hard to keep the People’s access to the courts as open as possible and I will also fight against tort reform which is nothing more than the big corporations buying protection from the government at our expense. But I can also promise you this; I will not ever vote for legislation which forces you to abide by the morality of either the eco-movement or the religious right. Unless you are infringing upon someone else’s life, liberty or property I will work every day to make sure the Federal Government LEAVES YOU ALONE and only goes after those actually breaking the law and not those responsibly enjoying their property.

If you would call yourself a Constitutional Conservative I would challenge you to remember that the original intent of the Constitution is to limit the power of the Government NOT to infringe upon the Liberty of the People and the one time an amendment was passed to affect a Liberty infringement it became the ONLY amendment ever repealed. Let God be known to those around you through your goodness and right action towards your fellow human beings, like Jesus did with the Pharisees by sparing the prostitute, and NOT from the fire and brimstone of your rhetoric nor your willingness to tyrannize those who live differently than you.

As Congressman, I will respect both the 1st and the 9th amendments which make marriage a fundamental and religious right and as such I will do everything in my power to keep the federal government OUT of regulating marriage or any other fundamental temporal or religious freedom.

This citizen action is known as Jury Nullification and it has a long and venerated historical and legal precedent stretching back before the foundations of this Republic and it is codified within the Constitution itself. Jury Nullification is based upon the key concepts that there is no legal ramification for a jurist voting his/her conscience and that the accused cannot be retried once acquitted. Think about the power this leaves in the hands of the People directly. With Jury Nullification then we have been provided with the FINAL DEFENSE of Liberty by way of REFUSING to enforce UNCONSTITUTIONAL LAW against our fellow Citizens!

Consider what some of our most august Founders said on this issue themselves. John Adams said: “It is not only [the juror's] right, but his duty…to find the verdict according to his own best understanding, judgment, and conscience, though in direct opposition to the direction of the court.” (Emphasis added) This admonition about voting one’s conscience, even if directed otherwise by the court, is of great importance to us in the modern age because in 1895 the Supreme Court held that courts are not required to inform us of our right or power to nullify bad law before we are asked for a verdict. Since that time, and with an eye towards empowering the government further, most judges have refused to fully inform their juries and have also refused to allow defense counsel to inform the jury of its right and power even when the court has no intention of doing so itself.

Moreover, judges who feel that veneration of the law trumps the Founders design to defend Liberty, have allowed the jury selection process to be used to remove jurists the prosecutor believes are aware of their right and power to nullify. This is accomplished by asking the potential juror, who is sworn to tell the truth, whether he/she can hand down a verdict ONLY IN ACCORDANCE with the facts of the case and at the direction of the court. If that jurist says no, he/she is removed. But what if EVERY potential juror answered no to this loaded question, and responded that they would do as John Adams said because EVERY juror knew his/her rights and power to nullify? Enforcement of Obamacare, the Drug War and the personal income tax would all end tomorrow when juries refuse to uphold them!

Despite what modern courts have attempted to accomplish through mis-information, which is nothing short of the coerced revocation of our Liberty over to the government when the Law and our Founders say exactly the opposite, let us now consider what the very first Chief Justice of the Supreme Court had to say about what these robber judges are doing today: “the jury has the right to judge both the law as well as the fact in controversy.” John Jay (emphasis added). But modern judges HATE this admonition because they will instruct you to ONLY consider the facts and the court’s instructions when voting your verdict BUT NOT the fairness or constitutionality of the law allegedly violated or even your own conscience. You see, the Founders understood that the broken law itself was also on trial along with the accused citizen. Unfortunately though, modern courts ignore this truth because We the People are no longer held by the legal system to be competent to judge the law which is exactly contrary to what Chief Justice Jay has said about our competence and our duty.

But the legal precedents do not end with Chief Justice Jay. One of the first consumption taxes ever levied, the Whiskey Tax, was repealed when no jury could be sat which was willing to convict the tax evaders. In the lead up to the Civil War, runaway slaves, and their protectors in the north, where prevented from being returned to bondage or prison by northern juries refusing to convict on the run-away slave laws thereby completely nullifying them. If you had sat on a jury in a case demanding that you return a person to slavery, based ONLY upon the facts of the case and not the conscionability or the constitutionality of the law in question, would you have voted to do so? I sincerely hope, as would have been the hope of every run-away slave, that your answer would have been no, not guilty.

Fellow Patriots, since the Great Political Awakening of 2009 and in the aftermath of the Congress voting for bank bailouts, stimulus packages, nearly insurmountable federal debts and the death of the free market and our Bill of Rights, we have been rallying at our state capitals and on the national mall, forming into Tea Parties or Liberty Activist groups all with the goal of taking back our country from the socialists and restoring our freedom in the process. Yet for many the movement seems to have reached an impasse where ALL THREE branches of the Federal Government continue to tyrannize us with no end in sight nor any apparent means with which to defend ourselves. But my friends THERE IS still a great weapon to use against the government and Thomas Jefferson, one of the greatest Founding Fathers, provided us that weapon which is as sharp and politically deadly as the day he uttered these words, “I consider trial by jury as the only anchor yet imagined by man, by which a government can be held to the principles of its Constitution.”

So now let me offer you a promise as a 2012 Congressional Candidate followed by my own admonition on how we FIGHT for our Liberty. As Congressman from Oklahoma’s 4th District, I promise to make repealing Obamacare my top priority and I WILL NOT rest until our healthcare freedom and our other economic and individual liberties are restored. Moreover, in the interests of reminding the American People of their right and power to nullify bad law through jury service, I will propose legislation REQUIRING the courts to FULLY inform jurists of their power to judge BOTH the facts of the case and the law in controversy before being asked to deliberate their verdicts. But you don’t need to wait for all of that do you? You can go out today and spread this message to EVERY ONE of your friends and relatives. And with the fire in your and their hearts over the injustice of the Supreme Court’s upholding of Obamacare and the travesty of destroying a family over a couple of joints found in an illegal search WE CAN TOGETHER REFUSE TO ENFORSE THE FEDERAL GOVERNMENT’S USURPATION OF OUR POWER BY VOTING NOT GUILTY THE NEXT TIME WE SERVE ON ONE OF THESE JURIES!!!
